Our Mission
At Vital Wellness Center, our mission is the foundation of everything we do. Established in 2002 by Dr. Foss, our practice was built to provide exceptional pediatric, prenatal, and family chiropractic care, with a focus on tackling the toughest cases. We specialize in treating neurological disorders such as autism, ADHD, sensory and learning challenges, as well as chronic pediatric health issues including asthma, allergies, eczema, chronic infections, and autoimmune conditions.
Our care doesn’t stop with children—adults also benefit from our neurologically focused approach, helping them overcome chronic health issues that impact both mental and physical well-being. In short, the mission at Vital Wellness Center is to deliver the highest quality, neurologically focused chiropractic care for every member of the family.

Pediatric
The idea behind Vital Wellness Center was to create a premier Pediatric Chiropractic and Family Wellness center. Our foundation was built on scientific precision and clinical expertise. However, the reality is that most chiropractic education focuses primarily on adult musculoskeletal issues, leaving many chiropractors uncertain when it comes to treating children.
Today, our VWC Clinical Protocols have become a beacon for families not only from our local communities, but also from the entire Chicagoland, and tri-state area.

At Vital Wellness Center, we believe that the journey to optimal family health begins with a strong prenatal foundation. We are proud to have assisted countless families in starting their journeys with natural, drug-free support and to stand beside our incredible expecting mothers from the very beginning.
Our approach combines soothing, health-enhancing adjustments with empowering support and education, ensuring that our Vital Wellness Center mamas enjoy a prenatal experience that is truly exceptional. This remarkable experience extends into labor and delivery, where we frequently witness natural births and successful VBACs, all from the extraordinary strength of our well-adjusted, empowered mothers.
Our commitment doesn’t end with the arrival of your beautiful baby. We continue to support our growing families with complimentary postpartum scans and checkups for mom, as well as a comprehensive neurological scans for baby.

Dr. David Foss
Doctor of Chiropractic
My path to becoming a pediatric, prenatal, and family chiropractor began with a personal success story in chiropractic care. My fascination with natural healing started in high school when I recovered from a hamstring injury through physical therapy. However, it was my freshman year of college that truly transformed my perspective.
Unable to continue playing university baseball due to debilitating tendinitis in my throwing arm, I faced a crossroads. While I initially considered a career in physical therapy, a friend’s suggestion led me to explore chiropractic care. Choosing this route was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Not only did my tendinitis resolve, but my long-standing allergies also disappeared—and my academic performance improved significantly.
My initial reaction was a mix of surprise and regret: Why hadn’t I known about chiropractic care sooner? It could have spared me from frequent illnesses, allergies, sinus problems, and focus issues throughout my youth. My next thought was, “Everyone deserves to know about this!”
Thus began my journey into the world of neurologically focused chiropractic care. I was driven by a desire to help children and families avoid the health challenges I had faced. A pivotal moment in this journey was discovering that my oldest brother Troy, born with congenital rubella syndrome (CRS), not only struggled with vision and hearing impairments but also faced a neurological impact leading to an autism spectrum disorder.
This realization clarified my purpose: to alleviate the chronic health issues that plague so many today—a condition we call The Perfect Storm.

Dr. Foss loves to learn and enjoys sports and an active lifestyle. He lives with his beautiful wife Jaime, sons Mason and Gabriel.
